Even though we are not all able to be together in our wonderful library and school, we can read and share the joy of books with our family, pets, and friends from whatever means possible (zoom, FaceTime, telepathy :) or whatever other creative way you have found to stay connected). Either way, we will find ways to share that connection with each other through this school year and even though it might be challenging, we will learn from it in ways we never expected. Stay strong, healthy, and "see" you in class!

Search the Luhrs Library Catalog
ELEMENTARY STUDENTS: We ask that you browse the book collection here, online, to find a book you would like to check out. If the name of our library is GREEN, the book is available for checkout. If it is RED, it is already checked out by someone else. We do not have wait lists for books. All elementary students will be limited to ONE (1) book/item checked out at a time for the foreseeable future.
Please email your book request to us at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 717-477-1003 for our "take out" style of check out... we will check it out to you and let you know when it is ready to come pick up at the Luhrs Library desk. We realize this is not the same as browsing the books, but is a safer way for our books and our patrons; including you!
To make browsing easier, we added a tab just for virtual browsing ease. This is where you will find photos of displays and books to help you find get ideas to enter into the search bar above. This tab is called "Photo Browse" and is found at the top of every page on the website. You can also access it by clicking the big, green word "Browse."
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
Email us and we can take care of this for you: email@example.com
