The library is offering a new workshop series, Information Literacy Research Labs. A Research Lab is a 1-hour workshop hosted by a librarian outside of class, which supports and enhances the learning students do in class and on their own to prepare for class. These labs are focused workshopping sessions that both helps students with their research assignments and introduces them to increasingly sophisticated strategies as they navigate the research process (topic development, searching for sources, revising your researching question and refining your thesis).
Each lab is tailored of an increasingly complex research process:
Research Lab for First Year Research: The goal of this the First Year Research Lab is to support students completing their first college research project in ENG114 or HCS100.
Research Lab for Senior Research: The goal of this the Senior Research Lab is to support students working on OR preparing for seminar/capstone research.
