Incunabula Short Title Catalogue

Similar in purpose and in function to the English Short Title Catalogue, the Incunabula Short Title Catalogue contains records for nearly every book printed in movable type prior to 1501. A few English printers are present, including William Caxton, Richard Pynson, and Wynkyn de Worde. The ISTC is particularly helpful for researching the spread of printing across Europe during the first fifty years after Gutenberg.
