National Tell a Story Day
On Wednesday, April 27th, Shippensburg Mayor Kathy Coy paid a visit to the Luhrs Library at Shippensburg University to read to first and second grade students in celebration of National Tell a Story Day.
She read Tucker: Little Dog Lost and Found, which connected to her love of dogs and the beach and the school’s theme of determination. After the story, she and the class talked about the book and shared pet stories. They then moved into the classroom for a snack and discussion about all that it means to be the mayor. We very much appreciate Mayor Coy’s time in her busy schedule to come share a story and snack with us!
