Event: A Deep Dive on Depression
Join us for a workshop, A Deep Dive on Depression, hosted by Lehman Library in collaboration with the University Counseling Center on April 20th from 1-2pm in Lehman Library Room 106.
In recognition of National Counseling Awareness month, the University Counseling Center (UCC) will present to students a discussion on what depression is, how to recognize symptoms in yourself, and where to go for assistance when you are exhibiting signs of depression.
This collaboration between the UCC and Lehman Library is in an effort to provide students at Shippensburg University with health literacy education, a strategy within the PA Forward education initiative to provide library patrons with literacy in five key areas.
Health literacy is the ability to understand basic health services and information, and Shippensburg University's Lehman Library wants to provide its students with the tools to find adequate mental health care.
