When paraphrasing: (Author, year).

After a direct quote: (Author, year, p. page number).

Two authors: (Author, A. A. & Author B. B., year).

Three to Five authors: (Author, A. A. & Author B. B., Author, C. C., Author, D. D., & Author, E. E., year).

In subsequent citations, use (Author, A. A. et al., year).

Six or More authors: (Author, A. A. et al., year).

When using the author name(s) in the text, omit the name(s) from the in-text citation: According to Author, "Direct quote from article......" (year, p. page number).

References

Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Date of publication). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume number(issue number), page range.
