Library Services: Fall 2020

Library services have changed a little bit due to COVID and people have asked about library services available this Fall:

Library Services: Fall 2020

• Library Building Services and Access
  • Library hours: Sun Noon-9:30pm, Mon-Thu 7:15am-9:30pm, Fri 7:15am-6pm, Sat 9am-5pm through November 20th
    • As specified in campus policy, mask use and social distancing are required in the library 
      • Face masks (disposable) are available for those who need another mask - to the right of the Tech Help Desk
      • Sanitizing wipes and keyboard bags are available on each library level
  • Research help hours: Sun 4:30-9:30pm, Mon-Thu 9:00am-9:30pm, Fri 9:00am-5:00pm
    • Mask to Mask help available in LL134
    • Online help available through Chat, Email, or by Appointment
      
       
         
       
  • Library Technology: Laptops and Workstations are distributed throughout the building
    • Laptops will not be checked out this semester, find them in distributed locations around the library
  • Library Printing: Printers are available on the Main and Lower Level
    • the color copier on the Lower Level will only print, the copier function is disabled due to COVID concerns
  • A Self-checkout Station will be installed in Fall 2020 - regular checkout at the desk remains available
  • Physical library materials are quarantined for 3 day when they are returned

  • Starbucks
    • Enter the Starbucks line only through the right-hand door (looking at the front doors) of the library
    • The service line direction inside Starbucks is reversed from previous years - follow the floor markings
• All Online Resources Remain Available through library.ship.edu
