Lehman Library Borrowing information

Members of the SU community may borrow Library items using their Shippensburg University ID card. Community members may borrow items using their community patron library card.

Loan limits

Undergraduate students may borrow up to 50 items at a time
Graduate students may borrow up to 100 items at a time
Staff/Administration may borrow up to 50 items at a time

Book Loan Lengths

Lehman Library Books are due back on the last day of the current semester

A/V Media Loan Lengths & Limits

Lehman Library Audio and Video Media: due back on the 14th day after the borrowing date (limit 5 borrowed at a time)
Laptops can be borrowed by students only. They are due back the day they were borrowed, 30 minutes before the library closes
Renewals: sorry, no renewals for AV materials or laptops.

Self-Renewal Procedures for Ship Library Books

Click My Library Card to access your account in the library catalog.
Login with your Ship email credentials
Click the Loans tab to view the items you have checked out
Click Renew next to the item(s) you want to renew
Check the item status on right, double-check for the new Due: date and look for Renewed in the right column

Overdue Charges

General Collection Materials

No fees are assessed, but students will not be permitted to borrow additional materials until overdue items are returned
3 hour reserve materials - $1 per hour to a maximum fee of $100
1,3,7 day reserve materials - $5 per day to a maximum fee of $100
