CQ Researcher-Saving Reports

Save Reports: There are several ways to save a report you'd like to access again. You can create a profile and save documents to your profile by following these steps:

  1. From the CQ Researcher homepage, select the Your Profile tab and click Log In.
  2. In the Enter a Username box, enter your Shippensburg University email address: username@ship.edu, then select "I want to create a new account.
  3. Click proceed. This will take you to a new page where you create a password for your new CQ Researcher account.
  4. Once you've created an account and are logged in, you can save any report you're reading by clicking the Save to Favorite Documents checkbox at the top of the page. This will automatically save the report to the list of documents in your profile.
  5. To access saved reports, go to the CQ Researcher homepage, and under the Your Profile tab, select Favorite Documents. This is where you will find all of your saved reports.

Without creating a CQ Researcher account, you can email, save, or print reports. To email a report to yourself or a friend,

  1. Select email a link back to at the top of the report and choose to include either the full report or a specific section of the report in your email.
  2. Type in your email address and/or your friend's email address.
  3. If you would like a copy of the report sent to you, select the checkbox Send me a Copy, and then click Send E-mail.

To view and save a PDF version of the report, select View PDF at the top of the report. You can then click the save icon in the PDF and save the report to your university network drive or a flashdrive.

To print a copy of the report, select Print at the top of the report and choose whether you'd like to print the full report or a specific section of the report.

Create RSS Feeds

If you are doing a long term research project, you may want to be notifiied when new reports are published on your topic. CQ Researcher has an easy mechanism to set up an RSS Feed.

At the very top of the CQ Researcher homepage, select the orange RSS feed button, to the right of the Log In button. You can subscribe to an RSS Feed in multiple ways. Select Subscribe to this feed using Live Bookmarks, Google, My Yahoo!, Microsoft Outlook, or choose another application.
