The National Sleep Foundation recognizes March as Sleep Awareness Month. Healthy sleeping habits can impact all aspects of life, from mental and physical health, to work, education, and beyond. Sleep Awareness Month aims to educate the public on how to get quality sleep. Even though life can get busy, getting enough, consistent sleep is crucial to your well-being. To learn more about ways to improve your sleeping habits, check out these tips from The National Sleep Foundation:

  • Wake up and go to sleep at the same time each day.
  • Keep your bedroom dark and quiet.
  • Use a bedtime routine to signal your body that it’s time to go to sleep.
  • Avoid caffeine, heavy meals, and stimulating activities close to bedtime.
  • Limit screentime before bed.
