Exhibit: The Art of Jim Mackey

by Heather Glasby on 2025-04-03T13:36:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

Come and explore the works of Gettysburg artist Jim Mackey in the Main Gallery of Lehman Library during the month of April.  Best known regionally for his fascinating chainsaw wood carvings and found art sculptures, Mr. Mackey uses his art as an avenue to increase bipolar disorder awareness, and does not shy away from his own mental health diagnoses.  Pieces of his art are a part of the permanent collections of both Elizabethtown College and the Pennsylvania State Museum.  We are honored that Mr. Mackey has chosen to bring his art to Shippensburg for an exhibition.  Want more?  Jim Mackey’s work can be followed on Instagram at @jimmackey0414.
