Just in time for Earth Day, Lehman Library is pleased to partner with the Herbarium to bring you a display of resources related to the plant life of Pennsylvania, and the many efforts to protect and preserve our natural habitats.
Featured are:
Herbarium specimen collections made by Shippensburg students past and present, beginning in 1899 and extending through 2011.
Research on the Iris verna, an iris species that is state endangered in PA conducted by Dr. Sahli and her students.
The life and works of Asa Gray prominent botanist and educator.
You can also pick up a complimentary pot of soil and some wildflower seeds to take back to your dorm, while supplies last! Bring a little bit of nature back to your dorm room!
Can’t make it to the library this weekend? That’s okay, you can check out our e-resources right from your computer with your Shippensburg login!!
