Book Lovers Day is celebrated yearly on August 9th. This unofficial holiday is a favorite of bibliophiles to celebrate a love of books, literature, and reading. It’s a perfect opportunity to take a break from your smartphone to encourage the joy and fun of reading in a way that is unique to you. Books are the perfect tool to take a break from reality to destress, escape to another time or place, and to experience an adventure. You can also find inspiration, creativity, and learn something new in the pages of a book.

The Ezra Lehman Memorial Library is a perfect location to celebrate Book Lovers Day. Come in and find a comfy chair or corner to escape with a book on August 9th. Browse the Popular Titles collection for something new or check out our collection of books by Shippensburg University authors. Our Circulation Desk staff would love to help you find the title or author you’re looking for.
