dated to 1813 when Congress determined to make information regarding the work of
the three branches of Government available to all Americans. The U.S Government
Printing Office (GPO) provides publishing & dissemination services for the
official & authentic government publications to Congress, Federal agencies,
Federal depository libraries, & the American public.
Federal Depository Library
The mission of the Federal Depository Program is to provide for no-fee ready and permanent public access to Federal Government information , now and for future generations.
Shippensburg University has been a Selective Federal Depository Library since 1973 and provides access to electronic format and online products from Government Printing Office Federal Digital Sysytems (FDsys) http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/ and database from Catalog of Government Publication http://catalog.gpo.gov/F
