PALCI Faculty On-Site Borrowing Policy
As a service to faculty members of PALCI (Pennsylvania Academic Library Connection Initiative) colleges and universities, Lehman Library offers borrowing privileges through a PALCI Patron Card. Applicants must present a PALCI form indicating that they are currently on the faculty of their home institution. There is no fee. PALCI cards expire on May 15th of the current academic year.
Loan Period: The loan period for materials is 28 days.
Maximum Number of Items Lent: 15 items
Renewals: One renewal is permitted. Contact libcirc@ship.edu with your name, your Lehman Library card number, and titles and barcodes of each book that needs renewed.
Borrowing Policies: Only faculty members with the appropriate letter of identification from their home institution will be granted borrowing privileges under this patron class.
PALCI Patrons may charge out 15 items from the circulating general collection, the government documents collection, and the Media/Curricular Collection except as noted below.
Reference books, reserve materials, and periodicals may not be borrowed. Videos/DVD's and music CD's are restricted to 3 each per person. The loan period is 14 days.
The PALCI Card holder is responsible for all materials borrowed on the card and is subject to established replacement costs. If materials are not promptly returned, overdue and billing notices will be sent to the patron's college or university library for further action.
